Patrick Wortner studied environmental and process engineering and graduated in 2009.
He then worked as deputy head of sustainability at the certification body of ift Rosenheim. In the process, he conducted various audits according to DIN EN ISO 9001, DIN EN ISO 14001 and DIN EN ISO 50001 in Germany and abroad. At the end of 2014, the company PeoplePlanetProfit was founded, where Mr. Wortner has since worked as managing director, advising customers on all EHS issues and conducting audits. In his pending doctorate, he is working on tamper-proof data storage. Mr. Wortner is also a lecturer at the Universities of Applied Sciences in Munich and Ravensburg / Weingarten, where he teaches about sustainability approaches, among other things.

In one project, we investigated how sensor data can be automatically stored in the blockchain. To do this, we used an IPFS network and stored the generated hash in the blockchain. For the investigation, we used a commercially available Raspberry Pi and sensors for measuring temperature, current and vibration. Read more
